UPDATE: Well, I sort lost my faith in Minds.com so … yeah. Think I will once again forgo the lure of social networking. It just doesn’t seem to work for me, too many puritans in the world out to ban-hammer or sweep aside folks who enjoy a good dark thought now and again. I guess my readers were the smart ones being so quiet. Guess next folks will hear from me is when I finally get something posted.
At least this frees up some time for untangling plot knots, right? -sigh-
Just noticed that it’s been three months since my last post on here. For those wondering where I wandered off too, I’ve been on Minds.com for pretty much all of that. Quite like the site, but now that I’ve peeked over here I think I’ve got a decision to make.
To be honest, I only log-in to WordPress to check up on a diminishing amount of blogs I follow and my page stats. My posts here never really got likes and comments so I kind of lost interest, despite me still getting some traffic supposedly. Bots are a thing and I’m starting to think that’s what most of those hits are.
So, I think I’ll be concentrating on Minds and just leaving this blog to die. I’ll still be writing (I swear, this is not a joke! I don’t think I could stop thinking about these plots if I tried) but I’ll just post updates or thoughts about it over there. If anybody just wants to follow Sinful and not whatever random thing that crosses my mind, hit me up over there and I’ll make a Sinful group just for readers to get news or talk amongst each other.
For those that did subscribe to this blog and read what I posted, thanks for reading so far. I really do appreciate it and do not take the time you’ve invested into following me lightly. Instead, I hope you too find Minds as chaotically fun as I do and decide to follow me there.
Hrm, suppose I should actually tell you what Minds is? Basically, it’s a free-speech focused form of social media with no bots or background algorithms. A free-for-all of human thought, if you will, where doing stuff like posting and liking posts gets you points you can use to advertise your own content. And while explicit stuff like my work (or just porn in general) is barred at the moment for self-advertising, it still isn’t hard to find or get involved in that kind of content if you desire. Which is alot better than here where, for me to ‘follow the rules’, I had to basically gut my self-promotion options.
So WordPress, guess I’m out. I’ll leave the blog up till … I think to take it down? A month or two at least I figure. For those wanting to find me on Minds, a link is over in the sidebar or you can just search for @darkalleyrambler.
